By booking a safari with Hunters Prey Safaris, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Rates & Inclusions

All rates are quoted per hunter and include accommodation, full-board meals, and daily safari rates unless otherwise specified. Observer fees are charged separately.

Local beers are included. Hard liquor is not included but may be purchased in advance or on-site; guests are kindly asked to consume responsibly and in moderation.

Daily Rates (for hunters outside package deals):

  • 1 Hunter / 1 Professional Hunter: $400 per person, per day
  • 2 Hunters / 1 Professional Hunter: $350 per person, per day

2. Important Notes

  • 15% VAT not included in listed prices
  • A 3.5% surcharge will apply to all credit card transactions
  • Flights, travel insurance, and non-hunting activities are charged separately
  • All bookings are subject to seasonal availability

3. Optional Extras & Fees (USD)

  • Rifle hire: $50 per day
  • Ammunition: $4 per bullet
  • Predator calling: $200 per session
  • Observer (non-hunter) rate: $250 per person per day (includes accommodation & meals)

4. Additional Activities

Optional leisure activities include Deep Sea Angling, Game Drives, and Spa Treatments. These can be arranged on request and are charged separately.

5. Trophy Fees

Custom additions to any existing packages are subject to the current price list.

6. Firearms & Hunting Equipment

Bringing Your Own Rifle

International hunters may bring their own firearms. A Temporary Firearm Import Permit (SAP 520) is required, to be completed before arrival or upon entry into South Africa.

Required documents include:

  • Completed SAP 520 Form
  • Passport copy
  • Flight itinerary
  • Proof of rifle ownership (e.g., U.S. Form 4457)
  • Invitation letter from Hunters Prey Safaris (provided upon booking)

Permit assistance is available from services such as:

Rifle Hire

Rifle hire is available at $50 per day, ammunition at $4 per bullet. All rifles are professionally maintained and matched to your safari requirements.

Bow Hunting

Bow hunting is available; however, bow equipment is not available for hire and must be brought by the hunter.

8. Booking & Payment

  • A 40% deposit of the accommodation cost is required to confirm your booking.
  • The balance is payable prior to, or upon, arrival.
  • Payment instructions will be provided at the time of booking.
  • A 3.5% surcharge applies to all credit card transactions.

9. Cancellations

  • All cancellations must be submitted in writing.
  • Deposits are non-refundable if cancellation occurs within 90 days of the scheduled hunt.
  • Cancellations made earlier than 90 days before arrival may qualify for partial refund or transfer of the booking, subject to our discretion and seasonal availability.
  • Full cancellation terms will be provided at the time of booking.

10. Liability

Hunters Prey Safaris will not be held liable for injury, loss, damage, delay, or expenses arising from circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to weather, strikes, civil disturbances, or acts of God.
